Pride Month 2024

NPSC's Commits to Equity, Diversity and Inclusive School Communities
Posted on 05/31/2024
The month of June is designated as PRIDE month and a time when we come together to celebrate love and inclusion. The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board is committed to nurturing safe and inclusive learning environments where every student and every member of the community is welcomed, valued, and respected.

Pride month is an opportunity for our NPSC schools to raise awareness and to confirm our commitment to acceptance, well-being for all, and to student voice. We commend and are grateful for the work of our students and staff to spread the message of acceptance and focus on the mental health and well-being of everyone in our Catholic schools.
As Catholics, we are called to love and celebrate one another, just as God loves and celebrates each one of us. We honour the inherent dignity in each other by treating one another with care, compassion, and respect. We believe that we are wonderfully made in the image and likeness of God who created us and loves us unconditionally – just as we are.

As a Catholic faith community, we offer this prayer during the month of June, written by NPSC Board Chaplain Father Joseph de Viveiros, C.R.
