National Indigenous History Month and National Indigenous Peoples Day

June is National Indigenous History Month and is an opportunity for our students to learn about the unique cultures, traditions, and strength of Canada’s First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. Also, June 21, the summer solstice, is National Indigenous Peoples’ Day. On this day we come together to celebrate Indigenous Peoples in a special way.

NPSC looks forward to celebrating National Indigenous History Month 2024 and National Indigenous Peoples Day 2024 across our Catholic schools and to sharing a variety of experiential learning activities over the course of the month. 



Over the course of the month, NPSC will be highlighting some of the wonderful school events happening around the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board community. We look forward to sharing these amazing and inspiring school events and stories with you soon.
