St. Victor Emergency School Closure Extended - 04/30/2024
We are writing as a follow up to our earlier communication regarding the lingering odour at St. Victor school. While significant improvements to reduce the strength of the odour have been made, the odour has still not fully dissipated. In order to take the measures to fully resolve the odour issue, extension of the school closure at St. Victor will be required for tomorrow, Tuesday April 30, 2024.
Much like today, students who arrive at the school tomorrow morning will be supervised outside and/or at our emergency evacuation site at the Algonquin Nursing Home in Mattawa, and parents will be contacted to pick up their child.
We will continue to update our community as the situation progresses and to confirm the anticipated re-opening of St. Victor School on Wednesday May 1, 2024.
