During the month of May, students and staff from across the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board (NPSC) community came together in harmony for this year’s 11th annual Alive in Song Choir Festival. Hosted at St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Catholic Secondary School (SJSH), students of all ages showcased their awesome vocal talents with their respective school choirs.
This year's festival featured choirs from across our NPSC schools in the elementary and secondary choirs, including our staff choir. The event took stage in the Bishop Carter Auditorium at SJSH, with CFCH 90.5 FM Country’s Kevin Oschefski returning as this year’s MC. Each school choir showcased two songs, with a mix of hymns of our Catholic faith and modern-day hits.
NPSC is very proud of all students and staff who participated in this year’s Choir Festival. Our students and staff embodied the Boards' vision of being Rooted in Faith and Alive in Spirit, through sharing their gift of music. We extend deep appreciation to all parents, guardians, caregivers and community members who attended, and for all the ongoing support of our students and Catholic schools.
We also extend a very special thank you to all our NPSC staff members who support the development of our students’ wonderful vocal talents, to ensure that they each shine and flourish.
