The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board (NPSC) is honoured to be nominated for the Excellence in Governance Awards through the Governance Professionals of Canada in three categories.
The awards recognize the important contribution that organizations, their Boards, and Governance Professionals make in terms of best practices, that build and sustain stakeholder value in Canada. NPSC has been nominated for an award in each of the following categories:

The Excellence in Governance Awards reflects an inclusive and open process, and all Canadian organizations from all sectors are invited to take an opportunity to receive recognition for their innovative governance practices and to be celebrated for their accomplishments.
“NPSC has a rich history of being a leader and innovator in the implementation of the Policy Governance Model.”, says Board Chair Leo de Jourdan. “For over two decades, the leadership of both the Board of Trustees and its Director of Education in implementing this governance model has allowed the organization to grow, realize its ENDs, be a leader in diversity and inclusion, and exercise a high degree of engagement with its community. It is a deep honour to receive these nominations and is a testament to the collective work of our Board, both past and present, in the service of our students and Catholic Education.”, he adds.
A shortlist of finalists for the awards will be released in September 2022, and winners will be announced and celebrated on Thursday November 17 in Toronto.
