Mother St. Bride School Receives 10-Year Recognition from the Duke of Edinburgh / Costa Rica Program
On June 26, the
Duke of Edinburgh / Costa Rica Program recognized Mother St. Bride School for their continued support over the past ten years. Mother St. Bride has donated over $3,500 dollars in cash and as much in school supplies to help enhance education in Sarchi, Costa Rica. The school was recognized with the Matthew Peters memorial award for going above and beyond, having impacted thousands of students in the six elementary schools that the program works with in Sarchi, Costa Rica.
Principal Tony D’Agostino also recognized Teacher Cathryn McGirr, pictured with her Grade 5/6 class, for her leadership in the fundraising efforts at Mother St. Bride over the past 10 years.
