The Board of Trustees of the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Shelly Warren as Trustee for the municipality of North Bay.

Having retired from the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board in 2019, Warren brings over 25 years of experience in the education sector to her role as Trustee. Her knowledge of special education, curriculum development and as a school administrator, propelled her work as an instructor in the Faculty of Education at Nipissing University and as a volunteer with the Sashbear Organization Family Connections program, where she continues to assist families in need.

“We are thrilled to have Shelly Warren as a member of our Board of Trustees,” says Leo de Jourdan, Chair of the Board. “Her experience, qualifications and dedication to education will be of great value to our board as we carry on with the important work of helping all of our students reach their full potential.”

Warren fills a vacancy left by Trustee Linda Jamieson, who sadly passed away last fall. Warren’s term will become effective January 25, 2022 until the end of the current term of the Board on November 14, 2022.

The Board of Trustees and Senior Administration look forward to working with Ms. Warren for the remainder of the term.

The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board serves approximately 2,900 students in 11 elementary schools across North Bay, West Nipissing, Mattawa, Powassan and Callander and at St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Catholic Secondary School in North Bay.
