Student and Family Support Office
Get help with questions or concerns about your child's education
At the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board (NPSC), we recognize that parents and guardians are the first educators of their children, and we value them as vital partners in Catholic education.
If you have a question or concern about your child's education, start by speaking with your child's teacher. If you need more support, contact the school's principal.
If your question or concern has not been addressed, our Student and Family Support Office can help. We can answer questions, provide information and support and help connect you with the appropriate school board staff or services.
When you contact our Student and Family Support Office:
- We will acknowledge your inquiry within 2 business days
- We aim to provide an answer within 5 business days
- If additional time is required to fully address your inquiry, we will provide a status update with an estimated response date.
To help us respond to your inquiry, please provide:
- Your name and contact information
- Your child's name and school
- A description of your question or concern
- Any steps you have already taken to try to resolve the issue
As a Catholic learning community, we are committed to serving students and families with compassion, dignity, and respect. While we work together to address questions and concerns, we ask that all members of the NPSC community engage with one another in a spirit of courtesy and understanding.

Step 1: Speak with the Teacher
Teachers are often the best first point of contact for questions or concerns related to:
-
- Student learning and achievement
- Classroom expectations and routines
- Assignments and assessment
- Day-to-day school experiences
-
Step 2: Contact the Principal or Vice-Principal
School administrators can assist with concerns that require additional review beyond the classroom, including:
-
- School procedures and decisions
- Student supports and services
- School-based concerns
- Follow-up on concerns previously discussed with the teacher
Step 3: Contact the Student and Family Support Office
If your concern is complex or remains unresolved after speaking with school staff, the Student and Family Support Office team can assist you.
