Yesterday, in joyful communion with our global Catholic family, we received the blessed news of the election of our new Holy Father. The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board (NPSC) offers its heartfelt congratulations and prayerful best wishes to Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost, now Pope Leo XIV, as he begins his sacred ministry as the 267th Pope and successor of Pope Francis.
In this moment of grace and celebration, we give thanks to God for the guidance of the Holy Spirit during the conclave, and we pray for Pope Leo XIV as he shepherds the Catholic Church with wisdom, compassion, and faith.
May the Holy Father’s example inspire our students, staff, and communities to walk ever more closely with Christ, and may his voice echo the hope and unity our world so deeply needs.
NPSC joyfully embraces this new chapter in the life of the Church and looks forward to receiving the spiritual guidance Pope Leo XIV will undoubtedly offer.
