Big smiles and focused faces filled every room on Friday, April 4, as NPSC educational staff attended their sixth Professional Activity (PA) Day of the year, which began with a beautiful Mass led by Board Chaplain Father Joseph de Viveiros, C.R., celebrating our Pastoral Theme of Hope. In collaboration with our Ontario English Catholic Teacher's Association (OECTA) partners, over 30 workshops for staff to choose from were offered, focused on Board and provincial priorities.
Whether exploring the benefits of nature therapy, learning meaningful ways to integrate high-yield mathematics and literacy strategies as well as Indigenous education, or discovering keys to team building, each session provided valuable insights and hands-on strategies to maximize student achievement and well-being in the classroom.
We would like to extend our gratitude to our OECTA partners, Board Office staff, and workshop facilitators – including our community partners – for their planning efforts and support in ensuring the success of this essential day of learning.
We also want to thank our incredible educational staff, whose dedication to professional growth and Catholic education empowers each of our students to reach their God-given potential.
