• Must be a Canadian citizen, at least 18 years of age — and a resident of the Municipality of West Nipissing;

• Must be a baptized Roman Catholic, who is shown as an English-language Roman Catholic school board supporter on the municipal assessment list;

• Cannot be an employee of a district school board or other school authority;

• Cannot be a clerk, deputy clerk, treasurer or deputy treasurer of a municipality within the jurisdiction of the board;

• Cannot otherwise be disqualified from office.

Catholic school trustees play a multifaceted role as stewards, advocates, politicians, and servant leaders at the local level. Entrusted with safeguarding the mission of Catholic education, they exercise strong governance and fiscal responsibilities to ensure our students continue to receive a high-quality, faith-filled, and community focused education.

Candidates who meet these qualifications and are interested in serving as a Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board Trustee until November 14, 2026, should submit an application no later than noon on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

Applicants must provide a cover letter and resume that includes their background, qualifications, interests and experience that support their candidacy. Applicants must also complete and submit a Declaration of Qualification form available on the Board's website (www.npsc.ca) or at the Board Office.
