2026-2030 Multi-Year Strategic Plan (ENDS)

NPSC Launches 2026-2030 ENDS to Guide Student Success
Posted on 09/23/2026

The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board (NPSC) is pleased to share its renewed Multi-Year Strategic Plan (ENDS) for 2026-2030, outlining the long-term strategic outcomes that will guide our work and continue to support student success and well-being across our system over the next four years.

At NPSC, our ENDS serve as the pillars of our Multi-Year Strategic Plan. They describe the knowledge, skills, attitudes, values, and experiences we aspire to cultivate in every student throughout their Catholic education journey. Rooted in our Catholic faith and aligned with Ministry of Education Student Achievement Plan priorities, the ENDS provide a future-focused roadmap for decision-making and accountability, helping ensure that our schools remain focused on student achievement, well-being, and Catholic faith formation.

Informed by Community Voice

The development of the 2026-2030 ENDS was informed through ongoing dialogue with members of the communities we serve. As part of the Board’s Policy Governance model, developing ENDS and maintaining meaningful linkage with the communities it represents are central to the governance responsibilities of our Board of Trustees. Through its annual Ownership Linkage consultations, the Board engages with representatives from various stakeholder groups to help ensure that the diverse perspectives, values, and aspirations of our Catholic education community are reflected in the Board’s ENDS and the long-term outcomes it seeks for students.

“As Catholic School Trustees, one of our most important responsibilities is ensuring that the vision guiding our system reflects the values and priorities of the communities we serve,” said Shawn Fitzsimmons, Chair of the Board. “The renewed ENDS reaffirm a strong foundation for Catholic education and a shared commitment to helping every student reach their potential.”

The 2026-2030 ENDS

The 2026-2030 ENDS reflect our shared vision for student success and continue to guide the Board’s focus on the key areas of Faith, Well-Being, Learning, Innovation, and Indigenous Education. While maintaining continuity with the Board’s longstanding priorities, the renewed ENDS include refinements that reflect stakeholder input and evolving educational needs, including enhanced emphasis on student agency, community engagement, and digital and artificial intelligence (AI) literacy.

ENDS Wheel

“At their core, the 2026-2030 ENDS reflect our commitment to nurturing the whole child in mind, body, and spirit,” said Paula Mann, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Education Officer. “Together, these outcomes support the development of young people who are rooted in their faith, confident in their abilities, and equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to make meaningful contributions to their communities and the changing world around them.”

Looking Ahead

The renewed 2026-2030 ENDS reaffirm a shared commitment to helping students grow in faith, develop positive well-being, become caring and responsible citizens, and acquire the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in school and in life.

Throughout the 2026–2027 school year, we will feature ongoing spotlight stories and classroom updates demonstrating how our elementary and secondary students and staff are bringing the goals of our ENDS to life.

As a Catholic education community, NPSC remains committed to providing learning opportunities that inspire, nurture, and celebrate each learner’s journey to reach their full potential, be a contributing member of society, live the richness of their faith, and embrace lifelong learning.
