Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week at NPSC

Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week at NPSC
Posted on 11/13/2020
NPSC is proud to join schools across the province in celebrating the tenth anniversary of Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week. At NPSC, we continue to focus on creating safe and positive learning environments, based on mutual understanding and respect, so that all students feel a sense of belonging and are able to participate fully in the school community and classroom learning.

NPSC students and educators will be engaging in a variety of activities at the school level to learn more about bullying and its effect on student learning and well-being. Examples include reading the book “God’s Dream” by Desmond Tutu and Douglas Abrams and providing each primary student with a package of Crayola “Colours of the World” crayons. A list of the many school activities planned for the week can be found here. Each of these lessons align with the teachings of our Catholic faith, as we support our students’ spiritual growth and development through the promotion of peace, justice and the sacredness of all human life.

On behalf of the board of trustees and senior administration, thank you to our staff, students and community partners who continue to work very hard to instill the values of inclusion, peace and love.

As we reflect on this important week in our school year, we are reminded that we are all children of God and we are all called to continue to uphold these values in our own lives.

Sincerely,
