SJSH Celebrates World Autism Awareness Day

St. Joseph-Scollard Hall (SJSH) students celebrated World Autism Awareness Day on Monday April 4 by raising $523 for Autism Ontario! Students also dressed in blue, participating in a flag raising ceremony and completed a ‘Wall of Support’ by signing a card that said “a supportive school means…”  Great leadership SJSH!

Students from across the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board are singing the praises of Musicounts, after receiving $10,000 worth of instruments and equipment.

St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Student Recognized in International Competition

SJSH student, Finn Seguin, has placed in the top five in the Fireside Essay Scholarship Competition for his essay on how religious education has impacted his life and schooling. Seguin has received a $1,000 scholarship which he will use next year at Carleton University in Ottawa.

NPSC students were well represented at the 54th Annual North Bay Science Fair held on Wednesday, April 13, 2016. Many students were recognized for their achievements in categories such as the most outstanding First Nations Project, Ontario Power Generation Innovation Award, Kumon Math Award, Junior Environmental Award and more!

Students Recognized with Anishinaabemowin Teg Scholarships

Summer Fisher, a student at St. Joseph-Scollard Hall, Kiley George and Miigwans Assance-Goulais, both students at Our Lady of Sorrows elementary school, have been recognized with scholarships from Anishinaabemowin Teg for the important role they have played learning and promoting the Anishinaabemowin language in their school.

Aviation Students Tour 727!

Aviation Students Tour 727!

Aviation dual credit students from St. Joseph-Scollard Hall attended Canadore College to tour a 727 airplane. Students were also debriefed on the systems it possesses and were present as the aircraft engines were started. A great learning opportunity!

Summer Challenge Information Session

Summer Challenge Information Session

Students in grade 6 - 12 interested in being a part of Summer Challenge are asked to attend the Information Night on May 5th at 7:00pm in the Bishop Carter Auditorium at SJSH.

Come and “Rock Out” with this summer’s production of “SCHOOL OF ROCK”. Based on the Jack Black film from 10 years ago, this musical is brand new and Summer Challenge is first to present the show in Canada!

Come out on May 5th at 7pm and check it out!!

Insights and Sounds April 26

St. Joseph-Scollard Hall annual "Insights and Sounds" will be held Wednesday, April 26. The event will feature a visual art gallery viewing at 6 p.m., and a lineup of performances in music, dance, video production, and drama at 7:00 p.m. in the Bishop Carter Auditorium.

Tickets are $5 at the door.
