Bears Basketball NDA Champs
Congratulations to the St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Boys Basketball team, who won the NDA championships this week. We wish the team luck as they advance to NOSSA Championships this weekend!

'Polar Bears' Raise $2400 for Special Olympics
Congratulations to the team of five SJSH students and educational Assistant, Elizabeth Fava, who took part in the North Bay Polar Plunge, Saturday March 4. The team successfully raised $2400 for Special Olympics. Congratulations to the 'Polar Bears' and thank you for your leadership!
Evening of Applause
The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board was thrilled to host the 30th Annual Evening of Applause at St. Joseph Scollard Hall. Our Lady of Fatima Donates to Warming Center
Congratulations to Mrs. Sheppard-Boal's class at Our Lady of Fatima school who collected over 200 pairs of socks this past fall. The initiative, called "soctober", will be helping to stock supplies at the Warming Centre. A special thank you to our students and their families for leadership and generosity!

We Are Not Alone
The Northern Ontario Centre for Learning Differences (NOCLD) is pleased to announce the launch of the 2016-2017 We Are Not Alone program.
This is a monthly evening program for parents across the North to be connected through a University of Toronto Vidyo Internet connection to get information, share best practices and support each other. NOCLD are currently looking for parents to participate from across Northern Ontario through the LD offices in Sudbury, Sault Ste. Marie, North Bay and Timmins.
St. Victor Donates to Mattawa Food Bank
Congratulations to our friends at St. Victor, who collected 225lbs for the Mattawa and Area Food Bank. The student council who organized an eight week long food drive called Something For Something. Each week, the students who donated a nonperishable food item, were able to take part in a once a week activity that took place on Thursdays.
A special thank you to Scotia Bank in Mattawa who donated $225 to match the 225lb donation to the Food Bank.
Way to go St. Victor! We are very proud of your leadership and thoughtfulness during this Christmas Season.
